Two weeks ago I bought a seedless watermelon for about $3.00 at the store. Mike put it in the fridge and, I don’t know, but it must have partially frozen in there or something, because when I cut it open it was too mushy. Still tasty, but mushy. So I scooped it out, cubed it, put it in ziplock bags, and froze it. OMG, I am going to buy a watermelon every week and freeze it until they are out of season…
- Take out your baggie of frozen watermelon cubes and let it soften up for about 15 minutes.
- Put into a blender with some lime juice, limeade or lemonade.
- Bend until smooth.
- Refrain from chugging, unless you enjoy brain freeze.
Variations and add-ins:
- A small sprig of fresh mint or basil
- A jigger of vodka or rum
